Ca’ Mariuccia is an ethical, organic farm, oriented towards permaculture principles and the dissemination of eco-sustainable methods and practices. It is a typical Piedmontese farmhouse that has always been used for hazelnutcultivation and wine production. The renovation work followed the practices and principles of green building and participatory construction, with the use of natural materials or the reuse of salvaged materials.

THE PROJECT AND THE VISION
We have studied and learned the principles of permaculture and agroecology in the field, putting our acquired knowledge to the test and shaping the Ca’ Mariuccia project. Our desire is to recover ancient traditions in a new productive awareness that is more oriented towards the well-being of the Planet and relationships between people.
THE TERRITORY
Our farmstead is located in Albugnano, a village known as ‘the Balcony of Monferrato’ overlooking the UNESCO-protected wine-growing territories nestled in the hills at 549 metres above sea level. In addition to the splendid panorama from the Motta Belvedere, which offers a view of vineyards, woods, parish churches and the peaks of the Maritime and Cottian Alps, Albugnano is home to the famous Vezzolano Rectory, a true jewel of Romanesque-Gothic art, and the 15th Enoteca Regionale of the area’s wines.
